Workers Compensation Costs

If you are an employee who has suffered an injury or illness while carrying out job-related duties, you may be eligible for an array of workers' compensation benefits. In many states, injured workers whose claims are approved are granted full medical treatment for their injury, indemnity payments to help replace lost wages during the recovery period, and vocational training to help them find a new line of work if they cannot return to their original occupation. If your claim is approved by workers' compensation, costs associated with medical treatment will be the responsibility of your company, or of your company's workers' compensation insurance carrier. This means that you will not be financially responsible for your medical treatment. In most states, you may also be approved for payment or reimbursement for transportation to and from medical appointments related to the workplace injury. Furthermore, medical supplies and medically necessary therapies may also be covered.
