Occupational Injuries

Occupational injuries are injuries that are sustained by an employee in the performance of their job. Injuries can include, but are not limited to, cuts, scrapes, broken bones etcetera. Disease and illness that are directly work-related are also considered occupational injuries. Many people falsely believe that they must physically be on the property of their employer when they are injured in order for their injury to fall into the occupational injury category. This is untrue. If your job duties are such that you are not always at your employer's premises, and you are injured elsewhere while performing your duties, they are categorized as occupational injuries. For example, if you are a delivery driver, and you are injured while making a delivery, your injuries are considered occupational injuries.
